About STETrevisions

Through STETrevisions, President and CEO Brent Skinner and his team work with businesses and other organizations of various sizes, as well as intensely focused sole proprietors and highly respected thought leaders, to grow and improve the performance of their online footprint. In doing so, Brent himself has not only written hundreds of news releases that use search engine marketing to their advantage, but also helped clients to build a presence in social media that facilitates engagement and drives leads.

A past contributor to several industry-specific newsletters, he is comfortable working with a variety of subject matter. His ghostwriting has helped to elevate some of his clients to editorial boards, and his research writing for the executive search and recruiting industries has enjoyed recognition among key players in these marketplaces and led to The Wall Street Journal interviewing and quoting him. Additionally, in a story that discussed the impact of blogs on marketing, The Children’s Writer Guide to 2006 quoted Brent alongside the editor and chief of Wired and others.

An adjunct professor at Boston University's highly ranked College of Communication, Brent has taught writing for the public relations, marketing and advertising professions since 2003. Earlier, Brent earned his Master of Science in Mass Communication from this school, where he researched a thesis that explored how the source credibility of online environments might affect the influence of news media gatekeepers. The implications of his research played a role in ultimately prompting him to found STETrevisions in 2004.

Brent began his career as a public relations practitioner for The Weber Group (now Weber Shandwick). Before founding STETrevisions, he was a proposal writer for CDM Inc., a leading environmental engineering firm that enjoys a global reach.
